GEORGIA – Work in progress…
A pilot project in a new collaboration with Art Yard, based in Tbilisi, Georgia. The Art Yard Community project is a multi-level initiative led by Belarusian artists and managers in Tbilisi. It involves creating a community around street art by painting murals on the walls of the city. The concept of the yard is something that can unite people from different backgrounds – building a favorable urban and cultural space for everyone.
Cap30 met Art Yard for the first time via a partner finding session hosted by The Danish Cultural Institute in December 2023.

About Cap30
‘Capacity 30’ aka Cap30 is a Danish NGO based in Copenhagen. Cap30 was established in 2020 to run a small venue with the capacity of 30 persons, located in the creative and ever evolving neighbourhood in the meat packing district of Copenhagen. We are 20 – 30 volunteers presenting annually 20 – 30 concerts, artist talks, workshops, readings, and other cultural events.
In the summer of 2021, after the Corona lock down, Cap30 contributed to reigniting the Danish art and music environment with the concept Freedom Tour. Freedom Tour is a one-day festival that visits small communities in provinces and rural areas. With Freedom Tour, we have visited small fishermen’s villages, islands, and rural communities in Denmark and Sweden and continues to do so.
Now Cap30 attempts to engage more internationally. Our approach in these new international collaborations is grounded in a deep interest and curiosity for artistic and cultural dialogue between artists, musician, activists, local partners and the audience. The aim is to continue to broaden our horizon and involve even more people in this artistic and cultural exchange. And of course to tangle up in all the magic that comes a long.
